Thanks for your stimulating presentation Mike. There is an ever widening ICT gap between an ageing teaching workforce and the digital generation they teach. I think it is not necessary for all teachers to become enthusiastic users of the new web 2.0 tools but at least have an understanding of these tools, the digital generation they teach and how they can be a part of classroom learning. What a great opportunity for our students to be the leaders in learning. Year 2 students often teach me new things.

Sorry, this bugs me and tells us something about engaging with the conversation here in the CEGSA community. It's Thursday and I'm still the only comment here. Mike, I'm disappointed that the assembled crowd at the EDC is yet to engage - maybe they'll respond better in the EDNA walled garden.

Mike, the presentation was great and had a few squirming in their seats (I think) but then I'm a member of the choir. Blancmange takes on a new meaning which is why it's important to generate discussion about the bigger issues like filtering, online identity, intellectual property and so on rather than teaching other educators about the latest greatest tool (not that twitter isn't cool!!) that will soon be replaced by something more diverse and original than the tool beforehand. Hmmm... I think that there are a few posts brewing here. Thanks for the cerebral fibre, Mike.
