Anyone who has spoken with me over the last week or so, would be tired of hearing me bang on about the potential for mesh networks - inspired by a little device called the ‘meraki’. Mark is much more eloquent than I and makes a rather compelling case for us to get involved in sharing our internet connections and doing our bit to create a subversive little thing called a ‘mesh network’.
Have a listen to his Mob Rules talk from WDS07 here http://www.webdirections.org/resources/mark-pesce/ .
You can download an .mp3 of his talk or watch youtube sections of his talk.
