Thanks to subscriber Dave (lifekludger) Wallace for a phone call this morning asking if the gadget on the table in the background of 7’s sunrise show was an Octavio. After hastily cranking up the TV I did indeed see an un skinned Octavio in the background. The ‘petes gadgets’ section was just winding up and I heard him say that the iPod accessories would be the big thing this Christmas because lots of people already have iPods.
Did anyone catch (or maybe record) the whole segment? Wondering if the Octavio got a mention, and if so, what was said.
Took a peek at the show website but couldn’t find anything.

Not a lot was said about it except they did say it was designed in Australia.
I wasn’t sure at first it was an Octavio - I’d only seen them on the website after you mentioned it and not in the flesh and at first thoght it may’ve been some other of these devices that look like a box with mp3 player on top. They had an ipod sitting in top of it not a zune which made the uncertainty stronger…if it’d been a zune sitting in it I’d felt surer it was the Octavio.
Now…if it was a Fender or Marshall amp, I’d definately have recognised it. Badge or no badge, those things have distinctive looks, brand recognition.
