Vote YES for conservation (I did)

I just voted YES in the messenger press poll asking if housing development should be allowed on Glenthorne farm. I hope you will to. WHY? – because I think funding of the University of Adelaide’s ambitious woodland recovery initiative should take priority.

Select “yes” on the Guardian Messenger’s online poll (just under the main headline section) to support the Woodland Recovery Initiative for Glenthorne.

Thanks to Dr. Paul Dalby for bringing this to my attention via his Litfuse blog.

In an ideal world important research like the Glenthorne woodland recovery project would be fully funded from the get-go. One thing I have learnt in my short time working at the University of Adelaide is that fundraising is a key component of sustainable research initiatives.

More about the woodland recovery.
An opposing view.
